Glasses
In grade school I secretly wanted glasses, simply because I felt they gave the individual the appearance of intelligence. As with most things, if you look the part you feel the part. However now that actually I need glasses to function normally, I do not wish this fate on the worst of my enemies. Glasses are a hindrance in virtually every physical activity. In fact, my current pair of eye “shackles” completely block all peripheral vision – a major safety hazard when driving. I have tried contacts for a while, but after what felt like an eternity trying to remove them, I decided that there was little point making life any harder. As for laser, it’s too expensive, and who knows what long term side effects will be.

The peripheral vision loss is quite annoying.
