Gas Stove Vs Electric Stove

Gas Stove Vs Electric Stove
Wednesday — March 7th, 2012

Cooking with a gas stove is super fast, it is also super dangerous. Winnie and I were cooking and the cloth she was using to hold the pot caught fire. We put the cloth out in the sink and threw the charred remains into the garbage can. We discussed how we should be more careful next time by putting the cloth further away from the flame.

We weren’t cooking for more than a minute after before Winnie’s second cloth caught on fire. What was weird was this time her cloth was very far from the flames. We put that one out as well, and turned down the heat this time.

Shortly after we started cooking again, the cloth I was using to hold the all iron pot was starting to burn. Luckily, I noticed the charring of the cloth started to become a flame.

The lesson. TURN DOWN THE HEAT WHEN COOKING WITH GAS.

On the bright side, last class our instructor chief had his cloth catch on fire. So it seems that it’s a common problem. Now I know how people have kitchen fires…

Sorry for the late post, not feeling well last few days. Cold or flu…

Write something, I dare you...
